01 In short

This site uses no profiling cookies, no third-party analytics, no advertising, and shares no data with marketing companies. That is why you will not find a consent banner: there is nothing to ask consent for.

  • Typefaces are hosted on our own server, not fetched from Google Fonts.
  • The social buttons in the footer are plain links: they load no external code and set no cookies.
  • The only third-party content is the Google map on the Contact page, which stays switched off until you turn it on.
  • Our visit statistics are our own and work without cookies and without storing anything on your device: how, is explained in the privacy notice.

02 What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a site saves on your device to remember something from one page to the next. Some are essential for the site to work and the law does not require consent for them (technical cookies); others measure user behaviour or serve advertising, and for those consent is mandatory. This site only has the former. Alongside cookies there are equivalent technologies, such as the browser’s local storage: where we use them, we declare them here together with the cookies.

03 What we store on your device

This list is complete: there is nothing else. None of these entries is read by third parties.

Name Type Purpose Duration
borz_richiesta Technical cookie Remembers that you have already sent an enquiry through the contact form, to prevent automated bulk messages. 48 hours
borz:ultimoInvioContatti Local storage Serves the same purpose as the above: showing you the right message straight away instead of making you fill in the whole form again. 48 hours, then removed
BORZADMIN Technical cookie Keeps the restricted-area session. It applies solely to the /admin/ address, which is reachable from the link in the footer: if you open that address you receive it even without signing in, because it is what identifies the attempt in progress. If you never open the restricted area, you will never receive it. Until the browser is closed or you sign out
borz_disp Technical cookie Remembers that sign-in to the restricted area has already been verified from this computer with the code sent by email, so it is not requested every time. It holds a random value, not your data, and applies solely to the /admin/ address: if you are not a company operator, you will never receive it. 30 days

04 Why there is no consent banner

The Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines of 10 June 2021 and Article 122 of the Privacy Code exclude the consent requirement for cookies used solely to transmit a communication or to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. Every entry listed above falls within that definition. Showing a banner asking permission for something that does not need permission would not increase your protection: it would only add an obstacle.

05 The Google map

On the Contact page the map is not loaded together with the page: in its place you find a panel with a button. Until you press it, your browser does not contact Google and no Google cookie is set.

  • Pressing the button authorises the map to load: from that moment Google receives your IP address and browser data, and may set its own cookies (including NID, normally for six months) for operational, statistical and personalisation purposes.
  • You can go back at any time: next to the map there is a “Turn the map off” control that removes it at once and stops all communication with Google. The choice is not stored anyway: simply reloading the page switches the map off again. Any cookies Google had already set do remain on your device and must be removed from your browser settings as explained below: they belong to Google’s domain and no script on this site can delete them.
  • Google’s processing is described at policies.google.com/privacy and its cookie handling at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies

06 How to remove what is already stored

You can delete cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings, and configure it to block them in future. Block all technical cookies and the contact form may stop working properly, but you can still browse the site.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
